ICAF 2009:
The 14th Annual International Comic Arts Forum
October 15-17, 2009, The School of the Art Institute of Chicago
We at ICAF are pleased to announce that once again the Silversmith Hotel and Suites in downtown Chicago will be our hotel partner and an official sponsor of our conference.
The Silversmith has generously arranged a special discount rate for all ICAF attendees who book rooms within the designated ICAF block. This rate is even lower than the rate offered us last year, and is a real bargain for lodging in downtown Chicago. We are glad to enjoy the Silversmith's support and we encourage every ICAF attendee to book a room at the Silversmith in order to help support ICAF and its mission.
The Silversmith is an elegant and historic hotel located at 10 South Wabash Avenue in the heart of the Loop, just steps from the Madison Street Station elevated rail stop and next to our conference site at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Last year many of us who came to ICAF were able to travel by rail right to the hotel's front door! (For maps of the Chicago transit system, click here.)
Please lend your support to ICAF by staying at the Silversmith! This rare gem of a hotel is convenient to all ICAF events, and we consider ourselves fortunate to have this place as our hub in busy downtown Chicago.
Act early; make your reservations now. The Silversmith will reserve rooms at ICAF's special rate until September 23, 2009.
NOTE: To reserve rooms in the ICAF block and at ICAF's special rate, you'll need the ICAF group code. Please contact ICAF's Charles Hatfield right away to obtain the code!
One you have obtained the group code, you can reserve a room by:
- phoning Silversmith reservations at 1-800-979-0084 and giving the ICAF group code;
- or by visiting the Silversmith's website, clicking on "Reservations," and entering the ICAF group code.
(ICAF presenters and invited guests will be emailed a weblink that can take them directly to online reservations with the ICAF group code already filled in.)
No matter how you make your reservation, be sure to reference the International Comic Arts Forum and use the ICAF group code.
If you have further questions or concerns regarding ICAF accommodations, or are interested in making arrangements to share a room, please feel free to contact Charles Hatfield for further information and/or needed contacts.
